1970 MC SS454
- Rusted out rear pillar was repaired with donor metal from another 1970 Monte. This repair was required on both the driver and passenger side of the car.
- This Monte Carlo came equipped with a vinyl top which destroyed the metal roof underneath after 35 years of trapping moisture. A donor roof was located and installed to “better than factory fit.”
- This Monte Carlo suffered from a rotted trunk panel (sheetmetal just below rear window) as most A-Body cars do. An aftermarket piece was used to repair this area and restore the trunk channel.
- Rust damage to the driver’s side floorpan, so the floorpan was replaced.
- Restoration work was done on the frame/suspension.
- Installation of a new 502 crate motor (provided by customer), steering box, and brake system (booster, master cylinder, brake lines).
